Located in SE Houston, off of Fuqua and Beltway 8, Blackhawk Park features football fields, soccer fields and playgrounds. The park’s focal point is created by two curvilinear park pavilions which embrace a circular children’s playground. The pavilions are designed to reflect Texas vernacular and regional design. Over-sized roof structures are supported by seemingly random placed inclined columns reflecting organic tree formations. Regionally produced limestone concrete blocks were selected for the building skin. The restroom and special event buildings are naturally ventilated. LOCATION: HOUSTON, TX.
