Leland Federal Building

RdlR was selected under the GSA’s competitive DESIGN EXCELLENCE program to design interior renovations and exterior rehabilitation of this twenty-two story building. Originally designed as an economical speculative office building, the aged exterior wall system routinely leaks. The design includes a complete re-cladding of the building exterior; a new plaza and pedestrian connector; expanded lobby; enhanced security; building system modernizations; and complete upgrade to public spaces. Though the renovations will not meet the pre-requisite requirements for LEED certification, the RdlR design includes LEED strategies for the entire scope of work to enable certification in subsequent project renovations.
