Announcing the Retirement of Howard Merrill and Lorie Westrick: Honoring a Legacy, Embracing the Future

RDLR Architects is announcing the retirement of two esteemed colleagues, Howard Merrill, AIA, LEED AP, and Lorie Westrick, AIA, LEED AP. Howard has been an integral part of RDLR since 1990, and Lorie since 1996, both contributing significantly to our firm's success and reputation. Howard became Partner in 1995, and Lorie in 2001. Their dedication, leadership, and innovative vision have been instrumental in shaping RDLR Architects into the respected firm it is today.

 Howard and Lorie's legacy will continue to inspire us as we move forward. We extend our deepest gratitude for their years of service and wish them a fulfilling and joyous retirement.

 Moving ahead, Daniel Ortiz, AIA, LEED AP will continue to serve as President and Managing Principal. Daniel joined RDLR Architects in 2007, bringing a wealth of experience and a passion for architectural excellence. Since becoming a Partner in 2012, he has played a pivotal role in shaping the firm's strategic vision and leadership. As President and Managing Principal, Daniel oversees the firm's operations, guiding RDLR in its mission to deliver exceptional design solutions.

Together, this leadership team is well-equipped to lead RDLR Architects into its next phase of growth and innovation, continuing the 40-year legacy as a leading Houston architecture firm known for its innovative designs and commitment to community-driven architecture.
