Slowpokes - Levy Park
BUILDING AREA
1,833 SF
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Nestled within the Kirby Grove office building and overlooking the vibrant Levy Park, this 1,833-square-foot café and bar blends historic charm with contemporary design. The venue offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with a thoughtfully curated interior and a lively patio that opens up to the park, encouraging both daytime and evening engagement.
Designed to cater to a diverse clientele, the café serves a creative mix of coffee, beer, and wine, each represented by a unique mascot—Mash the turtle (beer), Tasker Alexander the snail (wine), and Patches the sloth (coffee). These playful icons reflect the venue’s fun, approachable identity and help create a memorable experience for guests.
The food menu complements the drink offerings with a variety of sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, and breakfast items. To meet the demand from both weekday office workers and weekend parkgoers, the menu has been expanded and optimized for high-volume service.
With 10 taps of local craft beer, a rotating selection of canned brews, and wine available by the glass or bottle, the café positions itself as a flexible social hub—perfect for a quick coffee, a casual lunch, or an evening wind-down with friends.
The project exemplifies how thoughtful design and strategic location can come together to create a successful, community-focused hospitality space.
