A graduate of Politecnico di Torino, with a master’s degree in Heritage Preservation and Enhancement., Gabriele has over 5 years of experience working for architectural firms in Italy and Vietnam. His experience includes designing multifamily apartment towers, hotels, resorts, retail parks, and urban planning developments. Gabriele is a licensed architect in Italy and looks forward to learning a new approach to architecture and strengthening his skills in a challenging and fast-paced environment.

The Texas-Hindu campsite is designed as a bridge between all of the Hindu communities across Texas that are in need of a place of gathering. Designed by RDLR Architects, the project included programming, master planning, and architectural design for the Texas Hindu Camp that would be built on primarily undeveloped 51.7-acre site. The owners intended to also have the ability to rent the camp and use it for special events such as weddings and yoga retreats to extend the use of the property beyond the 2-week duration.

The Houston Business Journal has recognized 31 nonprofits and for-profit companies in the 2023 Diversity in Business Awards. The honorees were celebrated at HBJ's 2023 Diversity in Business Awards luncheon on March 30. These Outstanding Diverse Organization honorees, along with 36 individual honorees, were nominated and then chosen by the HBJ staff to be recognized for their efforts to promote equality and diversity in the workforce. From large corporations such as Verizon to startups like Ally Energy, these organizations are taking steps such as inclusive workspaces and community involvement.

COVID-19 led to unprecedented disruptions for HCCS students. To meet the needs of these students, HCCS is investing in the design and construction of Digital Divide Centers and Faculty Studios throughout the HCCS campuses.

Each year marketers and business developers in Houston’s built environment come together for an evening of celebration to honor the most creative and effective marketing materials. This year, the 2023 SMPS Houston Design Awards Gala, “A Starry Night” was held on Friday, March 3, 2023 and recognized RDLR Architects with three awards. The chapter also continued its long-standing tradition of supporting Casa de Esperanza de Los Ninos by donating proceeds from the wine pull to the charity.

A graduate of the University of Washington, with a degree in Architecture, Jimmie Lee Dubuque III joins RDLR as an intern who is excited to learn what it means to be an architect and to give back to his hometown of Houston, Texas. A United States Marine Corps veteran of 8 years, he has lived in multiple states including California, Hawaii, and Washington for the last 12 years. Jimmie is most enthusiastic about discovering ways the built environment can positively impact the individuals that utilize the space designed.

Located at 1507 Keene Street on the northeast quadrant of the IH 45 and IH 10 interchange, the new Maintenance of Way (MOW) facility will support the maintenance of METRORail vehicles, improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and improve resource allocation.

A graduate of The University of Houston’s College of Architecture, with a degree in Architecture, Jennifer brings over 7 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. She is most enthusiastic about expanding her project experience in new markets and developing her technical and leadership skills.

A graduate of The University of Houston’s College of Architecture, with a degree in Architecture, Rebekah is excited to learn more about community driven design and how architecture and design can create positive change within the community.

Founded in 1982 by Rey de la Reza, FAIA, RDLR Architects (RDLR) followed Rey’s vision to create quality community driven design. This vision resulted in some of Houston’s most iconic public spaces, such as the bridges over US59, Cotswold streetscapes in Downtown and streetscapes in Houston’s east end. At the time, the number of Hispanic owned architectural firms were quite limited. Today, there are numerous Hispanic owned firms reflecting the phenomenal growth of Latino business nationally.

A graduate of the Imam Khomeini International University in Iran, with a degree in Architecture, Sayed joins RDLR as a designer who is eager to leverage his experience with commercial design and gain experience with municipal and public service project design. Sayed recently moved to Houston from Kabul, Afghanistan and speaks four languages including English, Persian, Hindi and Urdu. Sayed is most enthusiastic about expanding his project management experience through hands on involvement.

RDLR Architects worked with the City of Houston on the design of a new 33,500 sf Public Works and Engineering (PWE) Facility which is primarily used as a staging area for the City of Houston PWE utility workers in the northeast quadrant and includes space for administrative and support services for the Water, Wastewater, and Restoration divisions of PWE.

During Westrick’s leadership, RDLR has earned numerous design and firm awards including the Texas Society of Architects Firm Award, the highest honor bestowed on architecture firms. She has extensive experience in all areas of architectural design and planning and enjoys public work projects such as educational facilities and streetscapes. She also has considerable experience designing for non-profit organizations. Noteworthy projects include the Houston Food Bank (recipient of five local, state, and national awards); the Sam Houston Tollway NE Main Lane Plaza (TxA Design Award); and renovations at Reagan High School (GHPA design award).

On February 22, 2022, SERJobs was presented with the 2022 Development of Distinction Award from the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Houston in the Not For Profit category for its Workforce Opportunity Center located at 1710 Telephone Road.

A graduate of The University of Houston’s College of Architecture, with a degree in Architecture, Francis joins RDLR as a design intern who is eager to learn and take on responsibility. Francis is most enthusiastic about gaining industry knowledge by working with her mentor as well as attaining project experience through hands on involvement.

Designed by RDLR Architects, the recently completed addition and renovation at University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work is an epicenter of conversations reimagining social, racial, economic, and political justice, both locally and globally. Due to the growing program, RDLR Architects designed a terraced Lobby Pavilion addition to the existing 4-story building and designed recirculation of the first floor to accommodate the new entry.

A graduate of Politecnico di Milano, with a master’s degree in Architecture, Federica has over 5 years of experience working for architectural firms in Milan, Italy. Federica is a licensed architect in Italy and has enjoyed the opportunity to study in different countries including, France, Italy, Australia and now the US!

Designed by RDLR Architects, the recently completed, 16,800 square foot, Fort Bend County Caleb Rule Public Safety Annex is located at the gateway to the cities of Fulshear and Simonton, and it is the center of activity for current residents of Firethorne, Cinco Ranch Southwest, Westheimer Lakes, and Cross Creek Ranch.

The Patanjali Yoga Center will be the first overseas institution for Swami Ramdev, also known as Baba Ramdev, an Indian yogi and agriculturist known for his work in ayurveda, yoga, and agriculture. Ramdev has been holding large yoga camps since 2002 and broadcasting his yoga classes for TV audiences.
